豊。洲
豊洲、ナガレ、ハコ、ミチ、一つ一つが大きいまちでは、
まちの些細な出 来事や変化を許容できずにいた。
このまちにはそれがどこまでも膨れ上 がった結果、
残るのが無機質な寂しいもののような気がしてしまう。
そこでは何をやっているか明快で、
意味のあるものだけが形を決めてしまっている。
意味のないものを美しいと思わせる強要しない方法として
生け花を考えた。環境に呼応し、人の手や花というスケールで
空間を再構築する手法をもつ。
全体が部分を構成するまちにおいて、
生け花という部分がこのまちの場所性を形容する対比を
見せることを目的とし、
今回、場所に対し生身 で作品に取り組む
「トヨシマサヤカ」に制作を依頼した。
今回は豊洲のまちの3か所で製作してもらい、
すべてに同じ花を生けてもらう。
場所が変わることによる、作品の変化。
その花の差異こそがこのまちの場所の差でもあり、
場所そのものが花器になる。
ダイガク: 私が通う大学。
オフィスビルの延長にあり、門がなくおおら かに人が行き交う。
コウエン:豊洲のメインの風景が望め、休日は子連れで賑わう。
ダンチ:このまちの最古参。豊洲にないスケールの集合体。
このまちの大きな要素を点として抽出し、
その点に淡い色をつけてあげる ようなカウンター。
またそれらがまちに対する捉え方をかえていくことを望む。

A movement of people, a box, a street In Toyosu,
a town where the sizes of each thing are big,
it was always too difficult for me to accept slight incidents or change.
As the results of those elements expanded,
I get this feeling of loneliness for those
that are left in this town.
What shapes the town is only things that has a clear purpose and meaning.
As a way to make people realize
the beauty of what is usually seen meaningless,
not in a forcible way,
I came up with the idea of Japanese flower arrangement.
It takes the process of reconstructing an environment with the small scale of hands and flowers.
This time, I asked Sayaka Toyoshima to create it.
By having Japanese flower arrangement,
which is constructed by small elements in this town,
where is constructed by big elements,
I hoped to show the contrast of them through this project.
I had her to create at 3 different spots in Toyosu,
using the same flower.
The difference of the work
based on the change of the environment,
is also the difference of these spots,
and the place itself then becomes the flower base.
The university:
Where I go to everyday.
It is placed next to office buildings.
It does`t have a gate, so many people walk by.
The park:
Where you can see many characteristic scenery of Toyosu. Many families with kids come here on weekends.
Danchi:
The dean of Toyosu.
It is a group of scales that are hardly seen in Toyosu.
This is an action of counterculture
attaching light colors to the points
which are extracted out of this town.
I hope they somewhat effect everyone's point of view
towards this town.
